Anyone who went to watch, will remember the day for a long long time.
The weather was braved by over 60000 people, who witnessed a show of awesome bike control by the riders in just about the worst conditions.
Race One:
Troy Bayliss proved why he is world champion, with one of the great rides of all time.
After crashing twice and restarting, he went on to finish fifth,
Neil Hodgson on the hmplant Ducati had a battle with Haga, and went on to the grass at over 130 mph, after getting sideways on finish line.
Shaky Bryne wild card entry on the renegade Ducati, showed a lot of factory bikes the way forward with a superb ninth place.
Race two:
After race one , and the weather looking even more threatening we again watched a superb race.
Hero of the race was Chris Walker, who had a battle with old rival Hodgson, until his tyres went off.
Walker finished fourth on the Kawasaki, to give the team their best place this year, the fans making the biggest noise on every lap for our boy.
Bayliss tried to clear off in the opening laps, however Edward's caught and passed him on lap nine, but the day was Bayliss' with another victory.
Shaky Byrne must now be in line for a full place in WSB with a fantastic fourth place on the renegade Ducati.
Steve Hislop chose to save his bikes for BSB on the following Monday week, and admitted he wasn't enjoying the weekend.
This was a memorable WSB, with the weather adding something rather than taking away.
